September Sluggers is D-BAT Scottsdale’s advanced hitting clinic for baseball and softball players ages 10-14 who already have the fundamentals and are ready to sharpen the timing, pitch recognition, and mental approach that separate good hitters from the ones pitchers dread facing.
Register for all four Tuesdays for the full progression, or pick the sessions that fit your schedule. Either way, your athlete steps out of the box seeing the game differently than they did walking in.

Your hitter isn’t a beginner anymore. They can find the ball, get the barrel there, and make contact more often than not. September Sluggers is built for exactly that player — baseball and softball athletes ages 10-14 who have the fundamentals locked in and are ready to close the gap between a solid at-bat and one that actually changes the game.
This isn’t a repeat of the basics. Over four Tuesday nights, D-BAT Scottsdale coaches dig into the details that separate good hitters from the ones pitchers game-plan around — tightening timing against faster velocity, recognizing pitches before they’re halfway to the plate, and making the split-second decisions that turn a take into a rip. We work the mental side too: the difference between a hitter who tenses up in a full count and one who hunts it.
Small groups mean your athlete isn’t standing in line waiting for a turn. They’re in the cage getting specific feedback on their swing, every single round — more bat speed, better pitch selection, cleaner timing, whatever that swing is telling us.
Come to one session to work on a specific issue, or all four for the complete progression. Each night stands on its own, but the four together build into something bigger. Families who commit to all four save with package pricing.
⚡ Timing that holds up against better velocity
🎯 Pitch recognition that turns takes into rips
🧠 A mental approach built for pressure at-bats, not against them
💪 Confidence that shows up in games, not just in the cage
September is when hitters stop hoping for a good at-bat and start expecting one.

Please read clinic descriptions carefully to discern if each clinic is appropriate for your athlete. While most of our clinics are appropriate for a variety skill levels, some are more appropriate for players with at least some playing experience.

Yes!
We group kids by age and skill level. This means younger athletes are inspired by watching more advanced athletes play but are not overwhelmed by competing with them.
Safety is our priority. This is emphazised by our coaches at every camp and clinic.
We want every athlete to love the sport and leave each day with more confidence than they arrived with. A safe environment is paramount to achieving this goal.
